About
912Candidates.org is a Kitchen Table Organization made up of entirely volunteers. Some of the volunteers are grandmothers, others are single moms, all of them care about our country. Our purpose is to communicate the commitment of any candidate for any office to the 9 principles and 12 values that have helped make America great. This program is not based on any party. The site has been structured to be completely run by volunteers. We have a $0 a year budget, and will remain so indefinitely.
912Candidates.org serves as a forum for publishing the willingness of candidates to a morally binding contract. The process of publishing someone as a 9/12 Candidate is simple. First they will approach their state coordinator, or email info@912candidates.org asking to be connected with the coordinator for their area. Once they are in contact with their coordinator, and express an interest in signing, the wording of the contract is verified to ensure its accuracy. Some contract modifications occur due to marital status, etc. If the contract is worded properly then the candidate signs, and sends it via mail or email to 912Candidates.org. The contract is received and an announcement is prepared announcing the individual as a 9/12 Candidate.
Because these principles and values are subjective, our volunteer staff works with the candidates to have them define & describe their perspective on each of these principles and values. We call this write-up the candidate’s “9/12 Platform.” This platform is different for each candidate, and they are often quite inspiring to read. This process allows the candidate to express their support, confirm their commitment to representing their constituency, and format future communication between themselves and those they hope to represent.
As an organization we believe that the Declaration of Independence declares that rights are granted to mankind by God. We appreciate the reverence that the signers of the Declaration of Independence displayed when offering their signatures to a profound legal document that appropriately uses God as a reference. We require each candidate, like the signers of the Declaration, to pledge their Sacred Honor. Sacred Honor is the only part of an individual that is entirely within their control. Governments can confiscate property, and the law can take someone’s life in response to a serious crime, but no one, and no organization, can take away or tarnish someone’s Sacred Honor. Only the individual can do that.
There may be those who will sign this document who consider their sacred honor of little value, and tread heavily over it. Our process for announcing 9/12 Candidates does not accurately “vet” such candidates, nor will we attempt to construct a process which does. If someone has developed a skill for lying, no practical amount of questions will serve to reveal it. God, and their constituency will be aware of their standards, and the contract they sign here will help serve as evidence for that cause. We encourage all readers to comment with their support or concerns on our candidate’s announcements.
An endorsement from 912Candidates.org does not guarantee the support of local or national 9/12 groups. Although many of those groups recognize and appreciate the work that we have done to find 9/12 candidates, they operate entirely according to their own bylaws. As an organization we respect the roles these groups have chosen to play in our nation. We ask that they consider the process our candidates have gone through when selecting those to support and appreciate any dialogue between our efforts and theirs.
Nearly half of everyone that could read had a copy of Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” in 1776, and in that year an informed constituency lead to our nation’s founding. This website serves to inform the constituency of each candidate, and we believe that by providing this information future generations may also carve a heritage of greatness into the record of American history.
9/12 Candidate’s officers fill different roles across the country.
- National Coordinator: Interfaces with different state/regional coordinators with regards to their different roles and responsibilities. A national coordinator is allowed to approve contract modifications for those candidates who have legitimate issues with the wording of the contract. For example, the current wording makes it very difficult for someone who is not married to sign. This position is currently filled by the founder of 9/12 Candiates, Jacob F. Roecker. Jacob is actively communicating with other national level 9/12 organizations.
- Regional Coordinator: Interfaces with different state coordinators assigned to their particular region. The regional coordinator understands the roles of the state coordinator and acts as a coach/mentor for new state coordinators, in helping them through the processes of managing activities within their state. They have the authority to recruit state coordinators within their assigned region. They are are encouraged to coordinate with other regional 9/12 groups.
- State Coordinator: Responsible for all publications on their particular state website ( Florida is http://912candidates.org/fl/ ). These sites are designed to publish contracts as well as document activity within their state. They have the authority to recruit coordinators within their states to ensure that local candidates also have an opportunity to be 9/12 Candidates. They are encouraged to coordinate with 9/12 groups within their state to help find 9/12 candidates.
- Local Coordinator: Is recruited by the state coordinator. They can submit entries for the state site, but are not permitted to publish them. Their role is to recruit candidates and to act as a liaison between 9/12 groups in their area and 912Candidates.org.

Jacob Roecker is 6th generation military brat. He is named after the first Roecker to serve in the Army, Jakob. Jakob fought at the battle of Gettysburg, was wounded, and may have been in attendance when Abraham Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address. Growing up, family stories were told about patriotism, selflessness, and honor. Jacob has tried very hard to ensure that he leaves this world as safe as possible for his children. He enlisted in the Army in 1997 and has served in Iraq on two separate deployments. He is the father of three children, with one more on the way, and the husband of Chrissy Roecker. Jacob feels a great deal of pride, and pressure in living up to his families heritage, and passing on that heritage to his children. He is the founder of 912candidates.org.
