9 Principles
- America Is Good…..America is more than a country, America is an idea, an idea founded upon a belief in God and the belief that we as citizens own our lives and we own our government. America is good because we are free citizens, not subjects or property of a government or ruler.
- I believe in God. He is the Center of my Life….God is my creator, my hope and my refuge. He is the center of my life for without Him there is no life.
- I must try to be a more honest person today than I was yesterday……I believe that if you are not growing then you are dieing. A true measurement of growth is to be constantly improving and being not only more open and honest with others but also being more open and honest with ones self as you continue to grow and to learn from experience.
- The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government…..Even with the best of intentions and circumstance the government could not possibly make sound decisions regarding my family. My wife and I will make decisions based upon what is right for our family and based upon our families best interest.
- If I break the law, I must pay the penalty. Justice is blind. No one is above the law……When this is understood a person becomes accountable for his or her actions. Without accountability there remains only excuses and exceptions to the law, which leads to lawlessness throughout the land.
- I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. There is no guarantee of equal results…….As a free man I have a God given right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Only as a slave could I be guaranteed equal results.
- I work hard for what I have. I will share it with whomever I want. Government must not force me to be charitable…..Charity begins at home. I alone will decide how to share my disposable wealth if any and I alone will decide who is deserving of my charitable contributions.
- It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion……..Un-American to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion? I believe that it would be Un-American for me not to disagree with authority if I feel that those in authority are making wrong decisions that are against my best interests and the interests of my family. I have a right to share my personal opinion as do others. To silence the citizen would be Un-American.
- The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me…….Government of the people, for the people and by the people. I am a citizen not a subject.
12 Values
-
Honesty…..Honesty is the best policy, it is better to be hated for being honest than to be revered for being dishonest, I believe myself to be an honest man.
- Reverence…..is profound respect and love. A reverent attitude toward God includes honoring Him, expressing gratitude to Him, and obeying His commandments.
-
Hope…..My hope lies in salvation. It is my duty and honor to serve my fellow man and to offer hope and encouragement to the discouraged.
-
Thrift…..Waste not want not. It is foolishness not to exercise thrift and look forward past this day at future needs.
- Humility…..Is when one has a humble opinion of himself and willingly submits himself to God and to the service of others for God’s sake.
-
Charity……Is a personal act of kindness or love toward a stranger in providing what is needed for that person to survive and grow.
-
Sincerity…..To be sincere, truthful and honest in ones dealings with ones self and with others.
-
Moderation…..Moderation is a worthy goal to achieve, as our passions desire to lead us toward extremism.
-
Hard Work…..Is good therapy and the mark of a strong person. I have never rested better than after a day of hard work.
-
Courage…..Courage comes in all sizes and shapes, it takes courage to stand up for what is right and it takes courage to speak out against what is wrong. A person who is strong and exercises courage will never experience the shame and discouragement that is felt by a coward.
-
Personal Responsibility…..Personal responsibility goes hand in hand with personal accountability. In order to exercise one’s personal responsibility one must first hold themselves personally accountable for their own actions.
-
Gratitude…..Being grateful and expressing gratitude is a positive step toward happiness. I continue to strive in maintaining an attitude of gratitude for all of Gods blessings bestowed upon me and upon this great country, the United States of America.
