Howdy Everyone,
I just wanted to encourage everyone to come out and support Tyler Russell, our very own 9/12 candidate. It is great to come out to protests and shout that we want real change, but without new and good candidates to replace the old and corrupted ones then we really haven’t accomplished much. This is where the rubber meets the road. We say we want to bring our nation back to the founding principles and we want to place people in office that hold to these values and will defend our Constitution. If we truly mean what we say, then we need to put action behind our words. Tyler is the first 9/12 candidate for our great state and is right here in our very own district. I feel truly blessed that he is here in our court and has the courage to stand up to defend our liberties. All 9/12ers should come join us if at all possible and rally behind our own 9/12 candidate. Attached is the flier so that you can download it and pass it out or email it to your friends, family, and neighbors. Let’s show Tyler our support.
Sat. Oct. 3 4-7pm
E. Montg. Co. Improvement Dist. Bldg.

Thank y’all for all of your dedication and committment to fighting for freedom from tyranny and proclaiming truth.

The Congressional Democrats have tried a few tactics to get out their ObamaCare marketing without those pesky patriots asking pertinent ponderings, and Lloyd Doggett has been trying them all.
One tactic is phoning in the townhall – easy to put the protesters on ‘mute’ while you babble on … Two friends of mine participated inlast night. Reports on Lloyd Doggett’s tele-townhall held earlier this week are here and here.
The other tactic is to stack the meetings with your own supporters and tell only your side to show up. Doggett is trying that with a Healthcare rally on Saturday. Here is the event:
Congressman Doggett is hosting a health care rally on Saturday, August 29. We encourage citizens to go with thoughtful questions and discussion points.
What: Health Care Rally with Rep. Lloyd Doggett
When: Saturday, August 29, 2009 2:45 PM
Where: First United Methodist Church, 12th and Lavaca, Austin, TX 78701
Word has gotten out via the grapevine on both sides. If you want to be a part of the “Summer of Patriots”, this may be a last chance to let Rep Doggett know what you think of ObamaCare.

From Andrew Breitbart at Big Hollywood:
John Mackey – the founder, CEO and marketing genius behind Whole Foods – finds himself in an organic, unsustainable mess with his carefully cultivated affluent, liberal customer base after penning an Op-Ed in the Wall Street Journal titled, “The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare.”
For starters, Mr. Mackey opens with a line from known-liberal-allergen Margaret Thatcher that features the dreaded “S” word: “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.” Then he goes on to provide eight sensible free-market solutions gleaned from his company’s well-regarded employee health care program.
Mr. Mackey, a free-market libertarian, is now at the mercy of an unforgiving grass-roots mob intent on destroying his company. More than 25,000 people have signed on to a Whole Foods boycott on Facebook.
“Whole Foods has built its brand with the dollars of deceived progressives,” the online petition reads. “Let them know your money will no longer go to support Whole Foods’ anti-union, anti-health insurance reform, right-wing activities.”….

So where is the hypocrisy you may wonder. I attended a counter protest at Whole Foods on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the Whole Foods in Austin, Texas. Our 9/12 groups were notified of a protest to “Boycott Whole Foods” for that morning. The photo to the left shows only some of our members.
Those of us who supported not only John Mackey’s right to publicly state his opinion but the content of his statement decided to counter protest. Our counter protest outnumbered that of the “boycotters“. For three very hot hours, both groups stood on the street corner in front of Whole Foods. Occasionally, we even spoke to one another, arguing about the real issue — government run healthcare. Finally, when the 100+ degree heat was too much for all of us, the protesters put away their signs. Most of us, including the “boycotters“, went inside Whole Foods for lunch. No doubt the “boycotters” purchased a very healthy, tasty, organic portion of hypocrisy.

Born in Beeville and raised on a South Texas farm, Debra Medina is a wife and mother, a registered nurse, a businesswoman, a rancher and a fighter.
Debra has always drawn strength from the courage of her convictions. She first got involved in politics in the early 1990s, when she saw that local leaders were not honoring the pro-life principles that guide her beliefs. Now chairing the Republican Party of Wharton County, she took the Republican Party of Texas to court in 2008 over violations in how the state convention was run.
Standing up to Goliaths is pretty much what Debra does.
She home-schooled both her children long before homeschooling had the kind of support and visibility it has today. She graduated from San Antonio’s Baptist Memorial Hospital System School of Nursing in 1984, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the evangelical Christian Le Tourneau University. In 2002, she founded her own business, Prudentia Inc., which specializes in improving medical billing procedures.
Through it all, Debra has waged and won battles that were not always popular – battles that often demanded uncompromising personal sacrifice. But this kind of strength is no surprise. After all, one of her ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War. Another lost his life in the fall of 1842 in the Dawson Massacre near San Antonio, fighting to preserve Texas independence.
Today, Debra Medina continues this legacy. She stands solidly on the principles of limited government, a sound economy, individual liberty and the inviolable importance of family, community and faith.

The following is an excerpt from “The Peter Morrison Report”, August 14, 2009 To read the entire article, go to http://www.petermorrisonreport.com/.
In 1973 there was a Charlton Heston movie called Soylent Green, which depicted a nightmarish future for Americans, especially the elderly. In the film, America is massively overpopulated and resources are scarce. Food riots are common, and old people are seen as nothing but useless eaters, a burden on society which mustbe removed. In response, the government opens up euthanasia clinics to solve the problem. Such a bleak future is hard to envision, but some of the rhetoric we’re hearing with regard to Obamacare protesters is truly frightening.
All over America, members of the Silent Majority are turning out in droves to oppose Obama’s plans to nationalize the health care system in the name of compassion for the less fortunate. Many of the protesters are the same folks who stayed home during the November elections because they saw no real differences between Obama and McCain. The energy that’s being unleashed in opposition to socialized medicine clearly demonstrates that if the GOP had offered up a truly conservative candidate, we would no doubt have a Republican in the White House today.
These good folks may not have come out and voted for a RINO, but they will come out and take a stand against an issue that directly affects them. Obama’s proposed “health care reform” has outraged the Silent Majority like few other issues in recent memory. They understand just how much is at stake, and how vitally important it is that we don’t let the federal government take over the health care system. It’s imperative that we keep the freedom to make our own health care decisions, and huge numbers of conservatives are showing up at town hall meetings all over America to raise their voices against Obamacare.
This grass roots movement is critical when it comes to preserving a free market in health care, but it goes beyond that. We are poised at a critical point in American history, and the Obamacare uprising may very well be the decisive factor in whether we can start bringing the US back to its conservative roots, or if the radicals and hard core socialists will finally be able to remake the government and the nation in their own image. This just may be the Silent Majority’s last stand. Thankfully, they’re not so silent anymore.
If you’ve been keeping up with news accounts of the Obamacare protests, you’ve seen for yourself the insults and vituperation being directed at the protesters, both by left wing politicians and their accomplices in the liberal media. The level of hatred being expressed is unprecedented, and there’s a reason for it. The liberals know that these protesters are all that stand between them and their dream of a socialist America. That’s why they’re pulling out all the stops in a desperate attempt to shut down these protests before they get out of hand.
In order to stop the movement dead in its tracks, the left wingers are shamelessly playing the race card. They’re denouncing these patriotic protesters as racists and even Nazis, outrageously describing them as nothing but a bunch of old white people who are simply angry that America has a black president, who are only using socialized medicine as an excuse to vent their pent up racism. The leftists keep hammering this theme every night on the cable news shows, and all over the internet on the various liberal websites and blogs.
Never mind that not all the protesters are white. In fact, one patriotic black man was actually beaten and called a racial slur in St. Louis for daring to carry a Don’t Tread On Me flag. The media has barely mentioned this story, because it doesn’t fit the “old white racists” script they’re pushing. Countless stories have referred to the town hall protesters as “brown shirts”, and Nancy Pelosi claimed she saw some of them with swastikas. A few nights ago, MSNBC gave ex-evangelical Frank Schaefer nearly eight minutes to rant about these “old white people” who are a threat to democracy itself. Schaefer repeatedly implied that if these folks aren’t stopped, they’re going to assassinate someone before it’s all over.
This kind of rhetoric is nothing less than reprehensible and would probably be labeled a hate crime if the roles were reversed. Yes, it’s true that the vast majority of the protesters are white. That’s understandable – the vast majority of conservatives are white and a large majority of older Americans are white. It’s by and large older conservatives who are attending these protests, so it stands to reason that most of them are going to be white people. The Obama crowd and the media ignore these indisputable facts of political life in order to throw around the racist label.

I am one of those protestors of Obamacare. I am old and white and conservative. I am not a racist. I am not a Nazi and I am not violent. I am very concerned about my country, not only of the policies beings passed by Congress but by the liberal media which prefers to label me as an unsavory citizen than to speak the truth. When will this stop?

The DNC and its allied unions – AFL-CIO, Texans for Obama and so forth – staged a protest in Austin, TX on July 25, 2009 to rally support for the failing Quality Affordable Health Care for All Americans (or QAHCAA) bill. . Austin Patriots responded.

From Having an Austin Tea Party -
This message came to us via friends in the non-partisan group Americans for Prosperity. We believe the information will be of use to Travis County Republicans and friends.
This Saturday in Austin, proponents of a government-run health care system are planning a huge publicity stunt to raise support for the $1 trillion health care plan in Congress.
This misguided rally is being headed up by Texans for Obama, and in attendance will be none other than Congressman Lloyd Doggett. Last week, more than 150 Central Texans protested the proposed health care plan outside of Rep. Doggett’s office – apparently, he missed the message.
We need to counter this with a HUGE showing! Doggett needs to know that a vote for government-run healthcare is a vote AGAINST our ability to direct our own healthcare.
We don’t want bureaucrats between us and our doctor!
Plans are to meet at the AFL-CIO Hall on 11th Street & Lavaca and at 1 p.m. The government-run health care supporters will march to a nearby park (about a block away) to form a “Human Texas Shape” to represent 5.5 million uninsured Texans. We need to outnumber them!
Time: 1 to 3 p.m.
Date: Saturday, July 25
Place: AFL-CIO Hall, 1106 Lavaca St # 200, Austin, TX 78701

The national Tea Party Patriots plan to protest at congressional and senatorial offices throughout the country on Friday, July 17th. These events will happen simultaneously at 12:00 noon EDT / 11:00 am Central Time. Those of you who are able to take the day off of work and those of you who are just all about protesting, here is another opportunity.
The purpose of these protests is to express opposition to government run healthcare.
- Location of the protest: Lloyd Doggett’s Office, 300 East 8th Street, Austin, Tx 78701
“Meet on the sidewalk in front of the building. Please do not block access to the building or to people who are using the sidewalk. Good luck!”

To those of you who do not understand why the group is protesting, think of it this way. We, the American citizens, have hired the representatives in Congress to do our work. We have told them time and again that we do not like what they are doing — the stimulus bill, cap and trade, health care. Still the representatives refuse to listen to the will of the people. They do not read the bills they sign. They laugh at our concerns. They raise our taxes. These protests are a reminder to those Americans have hired — you will soon lose your jobs!
The candidates found at 912candidates.org are sworn to protect the people’s interest, to be the kind of individuals who believe in the rule of law, who support the Constitution and its limits on the government’s power. Join us, won’t you?
