Hi All,

First visit and first post. With reference to Sean Salazar, a few things concern me. i know that it is politically expedient for most candidates to suppor the line on alternative energy, but to do so with the idea that the market is the determiner of what is viable runs counter to this. Sean looks like a viable candidate, but the green side of him, as he writes it, mirrors Murray. Neither solar, nor wind power can in anyway take us to "energy" independence.

I frankly despise Murray's positions on nearly everything, and I consider her to be a Feinstein croney (they are good friends and ideological twins). Nearly anyone to the right of her would be a blessing, but I am concerned with this potential candidates position on energy.

On education..I'll stop for now.

Hi Matt,

I started a list for my district, and in the research someone shared the below link with me for Snohomish Co. This has a list of all the positions that will be up for election in 2009.

<a href="http://www.co.snohomish.wa.us/documents/Departments/Auditor/Elections/2009ElectionGuide.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.co.snohomish.wa.us/documents/Departmen...</a>

I am in the process of learning how this election/district works, but I am wondering if there is a clean enough line between districts so people can focus on their districts or if some of the areas overlap districts.

I was also wondering if it's best to have a group of people send a bunch of forms to these people at once, or just go for it as individuals. A few weeks ago I sent one to Mike Hope and haven't heard a word from him on it.

I am also part of SmartGirls Politics and a few of the ladies there are considering running, once I get confirmation from any of them I will encourage them to sign up with 912Candidates as well.

Thanks for taking the lead!

Blessings,
Nancy

I have found the following person's planning to run against Patty Murray in Washington St. WE need to contact each of them.

Others showing interest
Former Federal Prosecutor Diane Tebelius
8th District Congressman Dave Reichert
Attorney General Rob McKenna

This is a blog site. While I understand the premise no activity and I'm not sure if Scott Johnson is running or just advocating others to run
