Dear fellow Wisconsin Patriots
We are excited and proud to announce that Dr. Tim Nerenz has taken the 912 candidates pledge. Dr. Nerenz is running for US House of Representatives in the Wisconsin 2nd congressional district. When asked to describe his 912 platform, Dr. Nerenz wrote the following:
My name is Tim Nerenz, and I want to be your Congressman.
I don’t want to be you mommy. I don’t want to be your daddy. And I don’t want to be your doctor, banker, car salesman, landlord, insurance agent, teacher, pastor, union steward, or weather forecaster.
Whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Independent, or only vote on American Idol, I want to represent you in Congress. Represent, not rule. Whether you are senior citizen or a senior at UW, you should not ask the government for permission to live your life.
Because the overwhelming majority of us just want one thing from our government – to leave us alone. Let us go to work, raise our families, grow our businesses, build our communities, educate ourselves, practice our faith, pursue our interests, and take care of each other as we see fit. We want government to secure our persons and property and let us prosper.
I don’t want you to live your life at the lowest common denominator. Your Creator gave you a brain of your own and a heart of your own; mine can’t possibly know what is best for you.
Less government and more choices. That’s my answer, what is your question? Economy, education, environment, health care, energy, employment, drugs, guns, taxes, trade, guns, currency, markets, foreign relations, transportation, lifestyle, pensions, unions, social issues – less government is better government.
Liberty is the absence of government in choice. Tyranny is the absence of choice in government. Choose Liberty.

Dear Fellow Citizens of the Great State of Wisconsin
My name is Michael De Master. I am a Father, husband, grandfather, neighbor and citizen. Jacob has graciously invited me to be a volunteer coordinator for the Wisconsin 912 candidates web site. In the next few weeks, I will be contacting as many current office holders and candidates as I can to invite and encourage them to take the 9/12 Candidates Pledge. I will do my best to maintain the Wisconsin page with accuracy and timeliness so you know who has agreed to uphold and live by the 9 principles and 12 values and more importantly why. I like most of the folks here at 912candidates.org, am an ordinary citizen who up to now was not terribly interested in the political process. I wasn’t necessarily happy about the direction of our Country, and more than willing to complain, but not willing to do anything about it. With the recent events in Washington, I could remain uninvolved no more. I have re-read the Declaration of Independence. I have re-read the US Constitution. I rediscovered what absolutely awesome, powerful and divinely inspired documents these are and sadly how far we have strayed from them. And then I prayed, yes prayed. God has a plan for each of us if we take the time to listen to Him. And so here I am shoulder-to-shoulder with the dedicated citizen volunteers here at 912candidates.org. For I too as a citizen of this great nation pledge by my sacred honor to live by the 9 principles and 12 values. I am pleased to proclaim to all who care to listen here in Wisconsin and in our nation – WE THE PEOPLE ARE BACK and we stand ready to do our part to defend and preserve Freedom and Liberty beginning right now. Come stand up and join us!

Fellow Patriots of Wisconsin
We are pleased and excited to announce that Dave Westlake is the first candidate in Wisconsin to take the 9/12 Candidates pledge!
Dave said this about the 9/12 pledge “I’m proud to sign the pledge and will not only hold up the principles and values that I signed my name to, but will also fight to get others to uphold the same. They’re as fundamental as our individual liberties and, I believe, are critical as a foundation for anyone wishing to be a leader in our government.”
According to his web site, Dave is a sportsman, proud veteran, lifelong conservative and hockey dad (no lipstick required). Dave supports lower taxes and less government to stimulate new business and economic activity; faith-based organizations; pro-life and traditional marriage, 2nd amendment rights, term limits; and taking care of our military during and after their service.
We welcome Dave as the first Wisconsin 9/12 candidate and look forward to learning more about him and his campaign!
